We are committed to making a positive difference to society

Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC is committed to making a positive difference to society, and keeping people healthy and secure which is about how we engage and manage our relationships with our colleagues, stakeholders including customers, and the local and global community.

Delivery of our social sustainability strategy focuses on how we maintain and improve universal human rights, treating employees and customers fairly, engaging with the wider community to help others where possible, and being a good member of society.

Inclusion and Diversity

Our aim is to provide an inclusive and diverse workplace for all our colleagues, one where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.  We oppose all forms of discrimination.   We have established a Diversity Leadership Council (DLC) to drive our I&D agenda – it works closely with our colleague communities to plan and implement activities in support of our objectives.

We are signatories to several charters to demonstrate accountability in our commitments to equality and diversity. These include the Women in Finance Charter, the Race at Work Charter and MHCUK has also joined ‘Disability Confident’ at Level One – a visible statement of intent and commitment to six steps to ensure that the Company provides an inclusive workplace for all disabled people.

Charity and Volunteeting

Our intention is to be a good citizen, so we have an active programme of charity fundraising, with a focus on organisations and community projects that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mitsubishi HC Capital UK has developed a comprehensive Group Charity Support Scheme, forming partnerships with several national organisations that are addressing sustainability related issues.

We also support smaller, charitable organisations in the regions where we have offices to support local communities.

Corporate Communities

At Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC, our colleague communities are all about bringing people together and to foster representation. We want to make sure that everyone's voice is heard, and that our company reflects the diversity of our business and society. These communities are led by our own team members, creating a place where we can share and work together to make a positive impact and bring about positive change.

Our five colleague communities engage MHCUK colleagues in conversations about key I&D topics, help us share information and make a difference by getting people involved in activities and fundraising related to the things they care about.
